If it is the part of Ireland that comes within the UK for postage - yes I am happy to send it by second class post.
Unfortunately, if it is republic of Ireland it becomes as expensive as sending abroad and I cannot offer to do this - apologies

Whole congregation leaves...

i just saw a post of a congregation leaving in sicily in 1988, the 4 elders and 70 members.

If you want to leave, then do so, but why slander those whom Jehovah has appointed to 'take the lead among us'?
If you had ever attended a KH you will have quite quickly noticed that the speaker on the platform "preaches" slander against other religions. Would you say that this is a Christian practice particularly for those in positions of responsibility (i.e. Elders)?

We had one very different elder in the last congregation we attended. Although he did everything asked of him I noticed that he said things like "I've got be careful what I say on the platform" in his talks etc. It seemed to me that he was more aware of his thinking than the others.
He had an elderly mother, a brother (and his family), a son who was an Elder plus his son's wife and children, a daughter married to a another Elder plus another couple of grandchildren. He would have absolutely nothing if he left the Org.
I know the problems we have had and we only have my husband's parents who are in - we are so much luckier than many but boy it hasn't been easy.

Blondie, yes he was still living at home. His older brother says that were offered to go and live with one of the brothers or be DF for associating with their parents but my husband doesn't remember that but he says no way would his parents let them live with someone else. I guess because they refused they got DF.
His parents carried on going to the meetings but travelling around to different KHs until they were reinstated. They didn't force the two boys to go with them.
His brother left home when he was 19 my husband left at 25 and moved over 100 miles away to the suburbs of London (still happily DF). However, Mum could not help interfering and asked him to take her to the meeting when she went to stay with him. She then started a campaign to get him reinstated (much against his wishes). He was then reinstated so had to start attending again but only sporadically as he worked shifts, though is mother used to keep checking that his was attending.
In 2003 we met (he was aged 44) and I attended meeting with him, we got married in 2004 and we carried on going together when his shifts permitted but gradually faded and we now haven't attended at all for almost 2 years. We also earlier this year moved 150 miles away from the last KH we attended. We are still over 100 miles from his parents and are just waiting with bated breath to see if Mum interferes again.

Name Some Stupid Organization/ Congregation Rules
by minimus inthere's a lot of them!.
one rule is you can't wear a tee shirt with writing on it if you are working at a quick build kh .
nothing with logos.. let's add more stupid rules that were in your hall or that the organization has.. .

When it was our Group's turn to clean the KH one Sunday, I offered to do the vacuum cleaning, they said cannot get the vacuum cleaner out today it had to be done on one's hands and knees with a dustpan and brush. Needless to say, I didn't do it since I cannot bend long enough to do the job that way and besides which I had my best clothes on.
Anyone know the reason for this rule?
